SCENTS
Our Scent-Free product is naturally odorless. If you’d like to add scent, you can do so by dropping compatible fragrance oils near the wick before lighting. Never add oils to a burning candle, as they can be highly flammable! Any modifications you make, like adding colors or scents, are your responsibility.
REFRESH
To refresh your candle, simply pull out the wick once the wax has hardened. You can either trim and reuse it or replace it with a new wick for a fresh start!
Usage & Safety Guidelines

1. FILL
For your safety, we recommend using fireproof containers, though other options can be used if done carefully. Choose a container that is large enough to keep the melt pool away from the edge, preventing overheating. For our standard wicks, the minimum width should be at least 4 inches at its narrowest point. Always monitor the container while in use to ensure it doesn’t heat up excessively; if you notice any signs of overheating, discontinue use immediately. By following these guidelines, you can enjoy a safe and effective candle experience!

2. PLACE WICK
Carefully place the wick, leaving a 1/4" tip exposed above the sandwax for lighting. Ensure that there is a minimum of 2 inches of Sand Wax surrounding the wick and at least 1 inch of wax beneath it to promote safe and effective burning.

3. ILLUMINATE YOUR CANDLE
Once the wick is properly inserted, you can enjoy up to 8 hours of delightful ambiance with each burn!

Safety
To ensure safety, keep the wick at least 2 inches away from the edges and bottom of the container. This means there should be a minimum of 2 inches of sand wax around the wick (for containers at least 4 inches wide) and at least 1 inch of sand wax underneath the wick. This design allows the flame to self-extinguish when it reaches the end of the wick, preventing the container from overheating. The candle will also self-extinguish if accidentally tipped over.
Despite these safety features, please adhere to the following fire safety practices:
-
Never burn candles on or near flammable materials.
-
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
-
Avoid placing candles in drafty areas or near combustible items.
When used properly, Akari candles are safer than traditional candles. Akari candles are plant-based and non-toxic; however, they are not edible and should not be ingested. Avoid contact with eyes to prevent irritation.
Please remember, this is real fire. Review and follow all safety instructions included with the product. Use responsibly and at your own risk.
